Struggling readers and mathematicians need engaging materials to get them excited about learning. These supplies, manipulatives, and activities will help my students master adding and subtracting within 20 (Math 1.OA.C6), telling time (Math 1.MD.B3), phonological awareness (ELA RF.1.2), and phonics and word recognition (ELA RF 1.3). The math manipulative are interactive pens (hot dots and power pens) that can be used to make adding, subtracting, and telling time fun. The hot dots and power pens also have phonics activities to help with reading. The magnetic letters will make phonics fun as well. Sight words bingo will be the perfect way to practice sight words and enhance their reading skills. The batteries are for the hot dots and power pens that are interactive and make learning fun. The pens work on all the flash cards for math and literacy skills. The sensory learning kits will give my students hands on learning materials to improve their reading skills. All of these are skills my students are lacking due to COVID and being forced to learn from home with distance learning. These supplies will give my students fun and exciting ways to practice their reading and math skills and get caught up on the learning they have missed due to COVID.
