I have students ranging from K-5th grade with varied needs in terms of academic and social support. All my students have been diagnosed with Autism and have individualized IEP objectives that require individualized supports. Each of my students has IEP goals that align with their corresponding general education grade-level standards. These resources will help provide more robust individualized academic and emotional instruction/support, such as listening to leveled grade-based books on CD and math/ELA games (such as chalk, addition/subtraction games, letter puzzle, sight word fishing game, comprehension cubes) that reinforce the lessons that they are practicing, such as learning alphabet, sight words, counting, addition. These resources, such as weighted blanket, bus pop-up, and sand timer, will also help provide an improved much-needed quiet space for social and emotional support. In addition, the sensory items, such as fidget toys, ball, balloons, hand massager, vibrating teether, bubble blower, etc, will greatly help my students with their sensory needs and have been requested by their occupational therapist.
