These chair pockets will help my students not only have more space on their desks for learning, it will also help them learn about being organized. Right now I have all the materials sitting at their individual spot on the table. The problem with that is the table has 4-6 students at it. The table also holds all their materials. This can lead to the problem of other students touching their materials. With Covid I try my best to keep all of their materials separate, but as you can imagine it does not work out that well. The math materials can be used to make individual boxes of manipulatives to help not only this year but future students in my class. Kindergarten is chaotic but with the right organization of materials, it makes all the difference in the classroom. Covid is requiring teachers to change how they teach, this means we have to find materials for each student separately. The more hands-on the lesson, especially in math, the better chance of them being able to grasp the concepts that are being covered.
