Due to Covid learning interruptions, many students are struggling with basic skills in math and reading. Through hands on games, students will be able to practice these skills in a fun way closing the gaps in their understanding. Also, students have been more stressed in school due to the challenging coursework and changes happening in the world. By creating a calm corner, students are given the opportunity to manage and express their emotions in a structured and calm way. Giving students the opportunity to close their learning gaps and learn emotional management provides them with opportunities for success. The major standards that this supports are: Math 2.OA.A and 2.OAB and 2.NBT.A and 2.NBT.B and ELA RF.2, RL.2.1 and RI.2.1
