Having the supplies needed for a lesson is the first hurdle in teaching. We will be learning specific makeup techniques and how they relate to character development on the stage. We will be preparing for our All-District Musical coming up in January where grades 3-12 collaborate and produce a fantastic community event. This year we will be producing The Addams Family, the iconic yet kooky family. 50-75 Students from all different backgrounds will make it on stage, and many of them will need distinct makeup to portray their characters. These students are charged an activity fee of $50 usually and that includes a cast t-shirt and supplies towards costumes. Usually, makeup is very general and they are able to provide it themselves, but not this year. We will have to use professional-grade makeup in order for it to last the 2 hours of the show. We will be learning about safe makeup applications, contour, highlighting, and how to give your character depth on stage. In order to keep the fee for participants at a reasonable rate, we are asking for your help!
