My preschool classroom is a bright welcoming space in the Chicago Morgan Park neighborhood. It is designed to spark curiosity and joy for our 3 to 5 year olds. Some are neurotypical, full of boundless energy and curiosity, while others navigate disabilities. Each child brings their own unique strengths, perspectives and ways of engaging with the world. We embrace the Reggio Emilia approach, viewing every child as capable, competent, and rich in potential. Children are seen as active constructors of their own knowledge with teachers as co-learners and guides. Our days are driven by child led inquiries, long-term projects and hands on exploration using natural materials, loose parts, art, light and the environment as the third teacher.
