One of architectural design components is drafting. Students start with creative process and then move into technical parts. For an idea of a building to developed, first you start with thoughts transferred to paper. Students need to have the appropriate work surface to manipulate their designs. Portable drafting tables allow students to apply the knowledge of mechanical drafting without the need of expensive hardware or software. We have had an increase in enrollment for the course so the tables that previously worked are now not enough. Students who are not able to be in the classroom can easily place one of the portable tables on a flat surface and be ready to work. CADD is just a tool just like pencil and paper you must learn to use both.
