I have been teaching long enough that I have moved from a chalkboard to a smartboard in my room. Helping the children to clearly see the lesson that I am presenting to them is a key element in making that instruction real and effective for them. I have an old document camera now that I recently discovered can no longer be updated and will therefore no longer work with the changing equipment in my classroom. A new document camera will allow me to help my students see the materials being presented in a way that will help bring the learning experience alive.
