Our final project this year will take a detailed look into animal and plant systems. Students will study the organ systems and explore how they work. By providing my students with these materials you are giving them a chance to explore the anatomy of pigs in an up-close experience they can take with them as they venture deeper into high school science. Students will spend the weeks prior building critical knowledge for understanding basic anatomy. Students will then take part in a virtual practicum before allowing them to dive deeper into how the pig body system works through inquiry-based learning. Your Donation will help provide 20 fetal pigs for students to dissect. This project also includes much needed dissection tools needed to perform the lab. Detailed dissection materials are also included to better help students understand how to properly dissect a specimen and identify vital parts in the specimen. As well as various protective equipment such as gloves and dissection trays.
