These supplies will help provide for my 500+ students to have more fun and gain a better perspective of art from a young age. My goal is for every student to realize they can be artists without just being able to draw. Specifically, supplies that include small toys and slime would be for my art contests as easy prizes to encourage students to try their best on their artwork. Other items like Q Tips and paper plates will be used to make painting easier for them. They are disposable substitutes for brushes and palettes (since my classes are only 30 minutes long), which gives them more time to do art than spend half of the class cleaning. The tabletop displays would be used for desired art shows so parents can view their student's artwork being displayed at the school. Canvas Panels would provide quality materials for 4th and 5th graders to work on, encouraging them to want to put more effort into their artwork as they're older. Clorox wipes would be used on days that include paint to make cleanup faster and easier. Origami and "How to Draw" books would be great for students who finish projects early and encourage learning. And air dry clay is an excellent opportunity to invite the three-dimensional vision of what art can be for my students. I want students to find creative liberties through these supplies and recognize different skill sets, and learn that logic and creativity together create better problem-solving skills. Art should be a way to build character in fun ways that aren't discouraging for kids. I never want my students to hear the word "Art" and think they cannot do it.
