Our school has no gym or auditorium. We currently have an outside pavilion with no walls, located in the back of the school. We use this as a safe space for assemblies, guidance classes, reward game days, PE, and generally creating a safe place for students to come outside and get fresh air. Our students live in poverty stricken/violent neighborhoods. Not much time is spent outside. Our students love it, but we have to either sit on the ground or transport 100 plus chairs for seating when we use it.
