I am asking for donations for African drums for my Adaptive Music class. Adaptive Music is a specialized class for students with various disabilities. They are able to receive a wholesome, quality music education that meets their needs. I have long been interested in teaching drum circle activities with Adaptive Music. Unfortunately, we do not have the instruments to do so. These students will greatly benefit from the addition of accessible African drums. Drum circles promote community, respect, and positivity. Drums circles also improve independence, coordination, and of course, musicianship. There are many musical activities we can explore that will allow students of all ability levels to participate and work together. I look forward to exploring drum circles with Adaptive Music!
