My students have shown me that they enjoy not only having the time to silently read. While some students have shared that they prefer to read individually, most students requested a "book club" set up so they can analyze the book with others. After discussing with them, they asked for time to read as well as a space other than their desks to do this. This project will give me the supplies I need to have my students be in nature and read with their peers. I have requested blankets so the students can sit in groups on the lawn comfortably, as well as a few sets of books recommended for this age group.
