My students need reading material that are interesting and engaging. My class library lacks beginning to read books(Levels A-E). These books will support learning phonics and sentence structure. The books will open the students up to new experiences. I have many students who are emergent readers, and are still grasping sight words. The books will provide them with basic sentence structure and sight word usage that support my guided reading lessons. These new books will give my students the ability to choose from a variety of books that will allow them to read independently at their own reading level. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading.
