This games will help my students to build community. After over a year of being on computers it is important for students to communicate and interact with one another. This allows for us to learn from one another as some students will be able to teach others how to play their favorite board games. One student asked about the game guess who and I have no idea how to play. He offered to show the class how to play the game when I get it. Some of these games will also double as helping students learn new words and build their vocabulary. For instance when playing scattergories and we get a subject students do not know. That will turn into a teaching moment that will help build the students vocabulary.
