Funding of this project would allow me to acquire and develop a robust collection of professional development books for the adults in my school and lay the groundwork for encouraging ways for our students to become more mindful of how their emotions affect their actions. I am asking for resource materials, which include educators activity guides along with mini lesson books to utilize to read aloud to an entire classroom or in targeted small groups. Additionally, I would like to provide books written for elementary children so that my students are able to picture themselves being successful and shaping their own futures. This project will support me in providing a meaningful instruction to all of the students. Help me give my students the tools to strengthen their social-emotional skills and work on dealing with stress and challenges in a more positive way. These materials will help me grow professionally as it will equip me with new, exciting ways to engage students through books and materials that will capture their attention. I will be able to learn with the educator's guide ways to develop and implement successful lesson delivery to reach the student population that continue to struggle with stress management, anger management, and making positive choices.
