With these seat sacks, my students will be able to find and store their folders for their writing journals. The students are learning to recognize their names in print and beginning to write picture stories. With chair pockets, my students will be able to find their picture books for independent reading. Students are learning to read the pictures and understand that words carry meaning. Students will also be able to find and store their popsicle sticks for number talks. Students engage in finger plays and songs to teach basic counting and math concepts. The chair pockets will help them contain their math manipulatives.
