Sensory regulation refers to a child’s ability to increase/decrease their alertness to match the situation or environment they are in. This is an important skill in order for children to learn. Our students need some extra support and tools to help with regulation. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase our students academic achievement. We are excited to get sensory pathways set up in the school and to provide students with the input they need through the use of a much-needed trampoline. We provide classrooms with printouts of Movement/Body Breaks and breathing exercises and do not have access to print these without a printer. The printer and ink would allow us to print these resources for our students and place them throughout the school. The bouncy bands for chairs are an excellent discrete "fidget" for students that need to move/fidget in order to learn.
