My self-contained classroom is in need of a classroom library. While getting to know my students at the beginning of this school year, some of their hobbies and interests include reading. However, I do not have access to books that are at their grade level since my students are reading below their grade levels. The books I have selected will make a difference in my students' lives because they will have access to literature that is at their grade-level. I plan on allocating weekly instructional time for literature circles to support my student's growth in reading comprehension. These books will be used to facilitate discussions and novel studies in our classroom. Your support will allow my students to have access to what they deserve - books at their grade level.
