During our Human Body unit we dissect frogs to answer scientific questions posed by the students. The frogs are the source of their answer, and a great chance to talk about respect for all stages of a life cycle. Students then use microscopes, scales, and other classroom materials to find the answer to their specific question with their frog. Students search for all sorts of things inside their frogs, and it is always a highlight of their middle school science career. Frog dissection is always one of the activities that turns students into scientists!
