Students often get discouraged and easily distracted in class when they are using obsolete equipment and materials. Students at 8 years old need to move around and use a variety of learning materials throughout a lesson. Technology is an integral part of today's society, and my students need an iPad Pro to help enhance their learning within our classroom community. This donation will allow students to utilize current technologies in the classroom integrating learning on online educational platforms into our classroom instruction. This is especially helpful to students who have learning disabilities and face challenges staying focused during typical instruction. A fully-equipped classroom iPad Pro device with an Apple Pencil for drawing and a keypad for more accessible typing can support students learning beyond one lesson and will help students reach their full potential within every aspect of our curriculum: Writers Workshops, Phonics Instruction, Literacy, and Social Studies. Adaptive learning technology can be a game-changer for students, especially those struggling with learning disabilities, in their classroom instruction.
