My students are a diverse group, coming from many different socioeconomic levels. Living situations range from two parent households to grandparents and foster care. They are on different levels in all areas: socially, emotionally and academically.. My classroom runs the gamut as far as special needs. I have a student who is legally blind, a student who is deaf, 2 students who are English language learners, and several students receive speech language services. Many are reticent and reserved, while others are outgoing and boisterous. As a unit, we are one big family and we have developed strong ties to one another. Our school is very large and all of our students receive free breakfast and lunch this year. We are a title I school, and have a great need for more technology tools in the classroom.
