My students enter my classroom with an urge to learn to read and spell. These students benefit when taught with a research-based multisensory lesson in order to enhance memory and their ability to learn. These word building blocks will help enhance memory and the ability to read and spell by having a visual manipulative. With these word building blocks, my students will be able make gains in reading and spelling by manipulating letters. Also, students will be able to push a button on the Pop It tool for each sound in the word. These materials will help the students grasp onto concepts in a deeper way. Students will learn so much from these activities, and the practice will enhance their foundational reading skills so they can become strong readers and spellers.
