Our library needs graphic novels. Every day students come into the library searching for new graphic novels to read. Graphic novels significantly benefit students who struggle with reading. Words paired with illustrations help reluctant readers and English language learning students with their reading comprehension. The content of these books matches the interest level of our junior high students. Our students enjoy sharing and discussing these books with each other. The artwork in graphic novels appeals to readers, enabling students to decipher literary elements. Having a collection of graphic novels is a huge motivator to get students reading!
