The items needed will make a huge difference in my first graders learning. Pencils need to be sharpened too frequently in grade 1 and having them sharpen their own pencils can be a never ending task. It will be more structured and easy to tackle sharpening all their pencils with ease and on a timely matter with an electric sharpener. I enjoy playing calming music when my kids are working independently and having a radio/CD player will totally bring calm and smiles to my kids! The making of index card name tags this year was not a success. My kids needed durable name lanyards to be able to use more than once without breakage to reassure their safety around the building and during recess in the courtyard! Printing paper will allow for all necessary copies to be made on a timely matter.
