It is my hope that my students become more engaged in areas of science and mathematics. Having STEM opportunities allows my students to apply concepts to everyday life. Research has shown that a STEM-based curriculum helps students learn to solve real-life problems. The materials that I am requesting will serve a strong purpose in my third grade classroom. STEM stands for science, technology, engineering, and math. My goal is to obtain STEM kits for my students to use throughout the school day. My classroom can benefit from having these kits for many reasons.
STEM kits help students explore these fields while creating and learning. STEM kits allow students an additional opportunity to explore topics they may be unfamiliar with. STEM also allows for team-building opportunities. During workshop time, students would be able to utilize STEM kits for hands-on work.
I truly appreciate your support in this project. Without the help of donors, my classroom would not be nearly as successful. I am a first year teacher and materials add up quickly. I value students receiving an education that provides them with multiple opportunities. I cannot express enough how grateful I am that you have taken time out of your day to support my project. You will make twenty-three third graders very happy when they receive their new kits.
