Fourth grade is a pivotal year for students as they have new opportunities to compete academically. One of those academic competitions is the Battle of the Books. A third of my classroom has pledged to compete this year. The potential hindrance to this goal is access to the 28 titles that they must choose from. It would be an absolute blessing to have these titles available in our classroom. The shelf would help me keep the titles separate so that students can easily differentiate between the BOB and other classroom books. This project not only benefits students participating in BOB, but the rest of my students. We use the floor cushions for our flashlight Friday (a time to read by flashlight) and lamps help to create a calming atmosphere in our classroom. We appreciate your consideration in funding our project.
