The materials and supplies that I am requesting are for student use. In the beginning of the school year I did purchase some materials for student use but since in our ELA class we use our notebooks on a daily basis. We use our notebook for to write personal stories, and it is also used an interactive notebook. Students cut and paste worksheets into their notebooks to refer back to when applying the skills, but unfortunately we are running low on our supplies. The colored printer will be used to encourage and showcase our new classroom books. With the printer I will be creating a book wall were I will print the cover of our new books. I have printed them in black and white but students are not able to make out the book cover since they are too dark. In my project I also included highlighters and they will be used to help students distinguish their answers. At the moment students are working on citing evidence. It is important for students to highlight and be able to emphasize evidence and important information in the text.
