It is important for a student to look good and smell good so that they feel good, especially in middle school. Students can't concentrate when they are worried about being embarrassed. Many of our middle school students come from extreme poverty and they do not have the necessary personal grooming products at home. This affects their self-esteem and readiness to learn. By providing toothbrushes and toothpaste, body wash and deodorant students won't worry about working in small groups. Our female students need to have sanitary pads available during their cycle so that they can feel confident. Using muslin bags will ensure privacy for each student.
