My students will have the ability to have fidget activities to keep their hands and feet occupied while they focus more on academics. My students LOVE moving and keeping busy. These items will be able to help them focus on their work at their seats. My students will be able to use the different fidget activities throughout the day as they see fit. At times my students have a hard to expressing their feelings or knowing what to do with such big feelings. The fidget toys will be added to our calm down area for when students just need a second to process their emotions in a healthier way. The chair bands will go on each student's desk for the feet to freely stretch on the band. The chairs are for my students who have a hard time siting in regular chairs and staying focused. The light strip will go around our sight word board to make it pop and add some fun! The lights should help make the sight words look more interesting. The sight word activities will be used to help improve our word recognition so they can become lifelong readers. The sight word activities will be used in small groups. All the games are hangs on which will be sure to keep my littles busy! All of these items will truly make learning more engaging and fun.
