I am requesting three Wacom drawing tablets which will provide my students the first steps towards establishing a digital art program at our school. Digital art is such an important part of art education, as most of the professional art jobs available today require knowledge of working in this medium. With these tablets, our students will have the tools to form a foundation knowledge of digital art. They will begin learning how to use photoshop to create digital illustrations and paintings. These tablets will be the starting point for developing a digital art program in our school and will open up a whole new world to the young artists at our middle and high school.
