Art has such a way of building a child and encourages them to use math, science, language, and all while expressing the unique individual they are. Creating incorporates decision making, problem solving, making mistakes(its ok, a learning opportunity), and builds confidence, impacting student learning to beyond the art classroom. Most students have not had opportunity and/or resources to put their imagination and creativity into practice through painting and ceramics. Air dry clay will provide students to learn 3d art, pinch pots, coils, and sculptures Paint will be used in a variety of lessons: learning different painting techniques, art styles from the Masters, elements of art, adding color to clay work, and of course, self expression.
