I want my students to learn Modern World History through primary sources (which include music, videos, documentaries, and interviews). I want them excited to be part of their world and to find their place in it. Between quarantines and closings, students are increasingly needing to learn at their own pace and time. Having headphones available in our class would give my students the opportunity to learn at their own speed, foster independence, and allow them to see the world outside of their classroom. If we can't travel around the world on a field trip, we can at least to the next best thing.
