This hand-on activity will teach students the skills and techniques needed to prepare them for networking careers in the IT field. Students will learn how to properly create ethernet cables and verifying with a cable tester. With the skills learned from this activity, the students will complete a computer lab ensuring that each computer is connected to a drop via the student created patch cables. We are a title one school and our resources are limited. This donation will make a positive impact on the students which will simulate a task that is often related to multiple career options within the Information Technology field.

About my class
