This will help students extend science learning beyond the classroom by providing materials to facilitate hands-on learning experiences for their siblings and families. Through student-led projects, students will increase the use of academic language, hands-on learning, and family engagement. They will also have the chance to share their future goals with their families and take a leadership role to equip themselves with the knowledge they need to fuel these passions, especially those that are STEM-related. Furthermore, this work will have a direct impact on student performance in the classroom, on assessments, and in the community, because it will increase a student's capacity to think and respond as scientists in all parts of their lives.

About my class
