Resources such as hands-on craft activities, spelling and sight word practice, sentence writing, and games will motivate my students and help them reach the rigor of the new reading program.These activities will help me differentiate activities during student center rotations. The activities I chose for this project are in areas where my students need support to become successful in 2nd grade and beyond ! It is known that children learn best through play and activities that allow them to work cooperatively with their peers. My students become excited immediately when presented with a learning "game ." Center work has many benefits ; it allows for academic reinforcement but also social - emotional learning as they navigate sharing and learning from peers !!!

About my class
