Students will learn the basics of sewing. We will be starting with mask masking and moving on to simple patterns and quilting. This group of kids will really benefit from basic sewing lessons, not only will they be able to make their own masks for themselves as well as their family members and friends, but they will learn a lifelong skill that they will carry with them forever. Nowadays many of the inner city schools have cut funding for sewing and I think it is really important that they have the opportunity to learn to make or fix something for themselves.
