The composition books are greatly needed in the classroom because writing suffered the most during virtual. I have a huge responsibility of getting my students writing back on track. Having the wide-ruled books give students better form and direction for writing assignments. Writing is a daily activity across the board.
My students love arts and crafts, having construction paper and scissors will help greatly with drafts. These are essential when allowing students to explore their creativity. The reusable writing pockets I use during small center time. My students will be able to use them daily while learning both literacy and math, switching out various materials. I think they like using dry-erase markers the best.
My main concern is giving the best that I can to my inner-city students. I am picking up the pieces left from COVID. The majority of my students cannot read and have low math scores as well. I have a lot of work cut out for me. I want to make their learning experience fun and entertaining. Students don't cringe about education when they are having fun doing it at the same time.
