The classroom carpet is a common meeting place for students and the teacher. By having carpet my students will experience a sense of a community or being part of a group or team by everyone sitting together. We often use the carpet for morning meetings and whole group activities. It is continuously used throughout the day for learning and playing. My students will be able to gather on the new carpet each day for whole group, small group, music and movement. This new carpet will my give students comfort in knowing our class is a nurturing and safe place for them to learn and play.
