These activities will work on increasing strength and fine motor skills in order to help them be successful in everyday tasks and activities of daily living. The items in my cart that reflect these types of activities include the button board, the ABC maze board, and 2 games (Ispy and burger mania) all of which include a fine motor/visual perceptual and motor component. In addition, the small rock crayons will help promote a more mature grasping pattern. The adhesive dots will be used to create interactive activities. The sensory-based materials will help my students regulate their bodies through sensory integration in order to increase attention and facilitate learning. These activities in my cart include obstacle course equipment, a swinging chair, a barrel for climbing, as well as kinetic sand for sensory play. These activities can produce both a calming effect as well as increase energy levels for under-stimulation. The cube chair will provide alternate seating for the children to improve attention as well as the tone for increased success in OT sessions.
