Coming back to in person learning after being virtual for so many months requires teachers to assess and teach simultaneously. Using manipulatives during lessons will help my students practice, review and learn new skills in both math and reading. Asking kids to show their work on their new dry erase boards, will be a quick way for me to see if they understand what has been taught and a way for the kids to show what they know. The board, markers, erasers, and math poppers will really help students stay engaged during lessons.
