As an inner-city school librarian, I serve a variety of students in grades Pre-K-5 with very little district funding! My biggest goal this year is to fill our shelves in our brand new 21st-century building with favorites for all ages with enough copies to allow more than one student to enjoy each title at a time! Dogman and Diary of a Wimpy Kid books are HUGE hits with all of my students from the smallest to the tallest! The graphic novel format of Dogman is fun and engaging and the Wimpy Kid characters are relatable and entertaining. These series entice even my most reluctant readers to want to read and help them fall in love with reading!
