The Bear Necessities was created by students and for students to help Bruins who may be struggling with food scarcity or other socio-economic issues. In a normal year, this is an important program for students and it became essential during the pandemic and now with our community facing the aftermath of Hurricane Ida, it is more important than ever. Your donations will go a long way in helping our students stay clean, happy and healthy. How learning will look for us following Hurricane Ida is not clear yet but whether we are learning at school or learning at home, it will be important to have safe and clean environments for our students. I am requesting soap, shampoo and food items which will help us give our families the essentials to survive during this time. This will help our students and their families by supplying food and hygiene kits while they live in temporary housing following Hurricane Ida. Every dollar will go to helping us recover!
