I am requesting stability ball seats and floor seats that support my students' learning and independence. Student are encouraged to discover the ways in which they learn best to foster self awareness and advocacy. Flexible seating allows for students to stay engaged in the content while also using their physical energy, which without flexible seating, could pose as distractions for themselves and their peers. As adults we too can become restless or fidgety when in a room for extended periods of time. Our students experience this, ten fold. It can be transformative when we create a space in which our students activity is met with tools to channel it rather than letting it build.
