During the pandemic, many of my speech therapy materials were virtual and unable to be created by hand without spending hours on printing, laminating, and cutting each individual card out. Not to mention the cost of printing these materials in high-quality color, lamination machine and lamination sheets, and time taken away from lesson planning for other students or collaborating with school staff. As a first-year speech-language pathologist, I do not have access to a budget for materials. When I heard about Donors Choose, I was thrilled to hear about communities and people who are so willing to help teachers and educational staff members locate and attain the resources they need to better serve their students. I am passionate about providing individualized treatment in group settings, and making each student feel important and valued. This resource will help me achieve this goal in every session, every day, with every student.
