My goal this year is for my 6th, 7th, and 8th graders to experience playing a musical instrument. I have chosen piano because it is a simple concept to learn and each student can push themselves to accomplish their goals with my guidance. Believe it or not, some of my students never have seen a piano! When I play the one in our classroom, I they are mesmerized and I want to give them a chance to learn it as well. Maybe we have the next Mozart in my room!
