Students have been overwhelmed for the past 19 months working on a Chromebook. Having a Scholastic subscriptions will allow them to take a break from technology. Students will also be using the topics in their subscriptions in their writing journals. While having technology is beneficial, they appreciate the writing process and being able to hold actual paper. The discussions that are included in Scholastic magazines align well with our current events, history, science and English curriculum. The kids are always excited when a magazine comes in and are always ready to have a meaningful discussion, especially on modern day issues they can relate to.

About my class
