My students will learn about the elements of art including color theory. Watercolors are a great way to experiment with blending colors as we learn about primary, secondary and tertiary colors. Oil pastels are another way to blend colors and to create value with colors. Students will work on individual projects as well as collaborative projects using these materials. These materials will allow my students to experience the many benefits of creating art including expressing their emotions, increased self-awareness and self-confidence, and decreased stress and anxiety (Couldn't we all use some of that these days?)
