My English Language Learners will gain an abundance of English vocabulary just by listening to books. My students will practice reading, listen to expressions, learn new information and just have fun listening to audio books. They will also work on their comprehension skills by completing a listening center sheet. While students are independently listening to a story at the listening center, I will be able to work with students who need support in other skills during center time. Unfortunately, some students are not read to at home and this will provide an opportunity for them to experience the wonderful world of reading and imagination!
