One of the best and most rich learning experiences I've ever had is with CO2 powered race cars. Every students is interested, engaged, and learning with such a fun topic. The school that I recently moved too does not have the shop equipment that my old one did. Thankfully it doesn't require much! Students are able to design their own race car. After design, we race! Students then learn about Newton's Three laws of motion as well as aerodynamics, speed, and velocity! The band saw would allow me to cut out the students design while the drill press makes room for the axle for the students car.
